Sentara is recruiting a Physician Assistant to join their highly regarded and experienced comprehensive Orthopedic Surgery team in Charlottesville, VA.

About the Role

Join a motivated, collegial team of 5 experienced Orthopedic Surgeons and 3 experienced PAs. Work with new general orthopedic patients, post-op patients, inpatient hospital and ER consults, participate as surgical assistant, and provide office fracture care. Strong built-in referral base through Sentara Primary Care. Digital x-ray and PACS at the practice; MRI on Hospital Campus. Comprehensive inpatient and outpatient rehab services available.

Responsibilities

• Work with new general orthopedic patients
• Provide post-op patient care
• Participate in inpatient and ER consults
• Perform as surgical assistant
• Provide office fracture care
• Collaborate with a team of experienced surgeons and PAs
• Utilize digital x-ray and PACS systems
• Contribute to comprehensive inpatient and outpatient rehab services

Requirements

• Current PA license in Virginia
• Experience in orthopedic surgery preferred
• Strong clinical skills and excellent communication abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies
• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Passing scores on the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE)
