About the Role

An Advanced Practice Provider (APP) specializing in hospitalist care during night shifts, responsible for diagnosing, treating, educating, and referring patients within designated primary or specialty areas. Serves as a clinical resource, role model, and leader, supporting training, evaluation, and management of practitioners and students to ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conducts patient assessments, histories, physical exams, and tests.
• Develops and documents care plans.
• Collaborates with physicians and promotes interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Educates patients and families.
• Stays current with professional advancements.
• Adheres to legal, regulatory, and organizational policies.
• Develops internal controls.
• Participates in education and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintains licensure and certifications.

Requirements

• Master's degree in nursing or a Physician Assistant program.
• Valid licensure and certification as a Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or relevant APRN specialty.
• BLS certification.
• Strong clinical, leadership, communication, and patient-centered skills.
• Knowledge of policies, regulations, and quality standards.
• Ability to evaluate and improve work processes.
