Advanced Practice Provider - Gastroenterology
Overview
Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group is seeking a dedicated and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join their growing Gastroenterology team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a collaborative, patient-focused group while enjoying a balanced schedule and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive GI care alongside a multidisciplinary team of physicians and support staff.
- Conduct initial assessments, follow-ups, and manage outpatient follow-up visits.
- Absorb and assist with procedures and ensure continuity of care.
- Collaborate closely with attending gastroenterologists to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in care coordination, documentation, and patient education.
Qualifications
- Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) licensed in Illinois.
- Strongly preferred: 1+ year of experience in Gastroenterology outpatient medicine.
- Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive medical team.
- EMR proficiency (experience with Epic is a plus).

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
Pay
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $125,000-$140,000 on an annualized basis.
