Responsibilities

• Perform history and physical examinations on new and returning patients; establish presumptive diagnoses and order appropriate laboratory studies and testing.
• Collaborate with physicians to formulate treatment plans and follow-up care for health problems.
• Conduct comprehensive or episodic health assessments and develop patient care plans within clinical nursing practice and medical care protocols.
• Review and assess patient medications; evaluate outcomes of care and adjust nursing approaches accordingly.
• Triage clinic patient calls, notify physicians of needs, and follow up with patients as instructed.
• Provide education and counseling to individuals, and refer patients to other healthcare providers or community resources when appropriate.
• Coordinate care for clinic patients.

Qualifications

• Current Ohio Registered Nursing License (for Nurse Practitioners).
• Master’s degree in nursing and completion of an acceptable Nurse Practitioner education program, or completion of a Physician Assistant Program with certification, including Prescriptive Authority.
• Knowledge of triage procedures and experience in clinic, physician office, or urgent care settings.
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.
• Knowledge of procedures for administering medications and patient care aids.
• Strong communication skills to educate patients and families about disease management and treatment.
• High-level interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations with poise, tact, and diplomacy.
• Analytical and critical-thinking abilities to gather, interpret data, and implement solutions.

Pay

USD $103,725.00 – USD $165,038.00 per year.
