Advanced Practice Provider - Cardiac Surgery - PRN

About the Role

An experienced Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) specializing in cardiac surgery, working on a PRN basis with on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative surgical support, including first-assisting in cardiac procedures.
• Perform vein and artery harvesting.
• Manage pre-, intra-, and postoperative patient care in the OR, inpatient units, and outpatient clinics.
• Offer outpatient evaluations and coordinate patient care.
• Respond to urgent consults.
• Provide on-call coverage for emergent cases and inpatient issues.

Qualifications

• Current Maryland license.
• NCCPA or NP board certification.
• DEA and Maryland CDS registration.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Prior cardiac surgery experience.
• Proficient in vein harvesting and surgical assistance.
• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.
