Advanced Practice Provider

Classification: Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)

About the role

The primary purpose of this position is to perform Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant services in the health department primary care clinic which includes Adult Health, Child Health, Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Program, Family Planning, and Sexually Transmitted Diseases Programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform histories, examinations, diagnosis, treatments, counseling, referrals, and follow-ups.

Requirements

• Licensed as a Physician Assistant by the North Carolina Medical Board or approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner by the North Carolina Board of Nursing and the North Carolina Medical Board.
• One year of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (Applications from applicants with less than one year of experience will also be accepted.)

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
