Job Description
The Spira Care Advanced Practice Provider (APP) provides advanced primary care in partnership with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City (Blue KC) to deliver best-in-class primary care to individuals and populations in Kansas City and surrounding communities. Clinicians work at “top of license” and collaborate with physicians, APPs, behavioral health consultants, diabetes care specialists, clinical pharmacists, and nursing professionals supported by care managers and referral specialists to provide evidence based medical care, integrated behavioral health, and attention to unmet complex needs. Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited APP (NP and PA) training program.
- BLS certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- 1-2 years of experience in the primary care setting providing the full scope of services typically considered in scope for Family Medicine.
- Current Kansas and Missouri License, or in process, at time of hire Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs registration required in Missouri.
- Current Kansas and Missouri Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration required upon hire or once clinical practice hours are completed.
- Maintain licensures and certifications throughout employment.
- Experience with billing, coding and documentation practices to meet Medicare requirements.
