Advanced Practice Provider-Adult Behavioral Health
About the role
This position is accountable for the provision of patient care and other activities as permitted by licensure and defined within Credentialing and Privileging documentation (hospital), Credentialing and Scope of Practice (Medical Group), Consultation and Referral Plan (DOPL) or other similar documentation as appropriate. As part of that patient care, this position is accountable to:
- deliver optimal patient care through effective clinical practice;
- education of the patient, patient's family, clinical staff, and others;
- consultation with other healthcare providers;
- maintain current knowledge regarding options for optimal patient care and outcomes.

Work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. Practice at St. George HospitalInpatient clinical practice. Employment position with the Intermountain Medical Group.
Requirements
For Nurse Practitioners:PMHNP-BC certification requiredMSN or DNP with a Post graduate certificate in psychiatry/mental health (if primary specialty other is not psychiatry)
For Physician Assistants:Obtain and maintain a Certification of Added Qualification in psychiatry issued by the National Commission on Certification of Physician AssistantsCompleteAn accredited doctorate level academic program for physician assistants approved by the division in collaboration with the boardA post-graduate certificate program for physician assistants to practice within psychiatric and mental health care that is approved by the division in collaboration with the board; orA post-graduate residency in psychiatry and additional clinical practice or coursework in accordance with requirements approved by the division in collaboration with the board; andA minimum of 10,000 hours of clinical practice in mental health
Additional Requirement:Active, unobstructed Utah medical license (or the ability to obtain) BLS certification and DEA registrationAbility to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process Visa sponsorship considered on a case-by-case basis

Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. $57.33 - $88.47
