ADVANCED PRACTICE NURSE (NURSE PRACTITIONER)

Responsibilities

Serve as a credentialed Nurse Practitioner providing primary care services across all age groups.
Conduct independent examinations, diagnose disease, illness, disorder, or injury.
Prescribe medications and order or interpret laboratory and diagnostic test results.
Institute treatment of patients within your personal credentials and privileges.
Make clinical decisions regarding medical care and interpret evolving medical processes resulting from new technological developments.
Make decisions concerning primary care needs that impact the care of other healthcare professionals and ancillary staff.

Requirements

• Master's degree or higher from an accredited professional nursing educational program in Family Nurse Practitioner, accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs, Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
• Current, active, full, and unrestricted RN license from a U.S. state, District of Columbia, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory
• Current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse in the specialty of Family Nurse Practitioner or related specialty from a U.S. state, District of Columbia, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory
• One or more full years of professional nursing experience that includes obtaining health histories, prescribing medications, and ordering or interpreting laboratory or diagnostic test results
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
• U.S. citizenship

• Current immunization screening
