About the role

Loyola Medicine, a member of Trinity Health, is seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide specialized outpatient care for patients with endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid, adrenal, and pituitary conditions. The position involves collaborating with endocrinologists, primary care providers, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized outpatient care for patients with endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid, adrenal, and pituitary conditions.
  • Collaborate with endocrinologists, primary care providers, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care.
  • Perform patient assessments, order and interpret tests, and create individualized treatment plans.
  • Adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and care goals.
  • Care for complex patients by coordinating care transitions across service units.
  • Educate patients and families on endocrine disorders, self-management, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Manage chronic conditions, including medication adjustments and therapy prescriptions.
  • Perform advanced procedures within the APN/PA scope, such as thyroid biopsies or glucose monitoring placements.

Requirements

  • CPR – Basic Life Support
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
  • Nursing – Current Registered Nurse License - State of Illinois (RN)
  • Nursing – Nursing Practitioner License – State of Illinois (APN)
  • Physician Assistant License – State of Illinois (PA)

Qualifications

  • Experience in endocrinology preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Skills

  • Knowledge of endocrine disorders and their management.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and pharmacology.
  • Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Pay

Pay Range: $109,304 - $180,336 per year. Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
