Job Summary
To collaborate as a member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide patients of all age groups and acuity levels with high quality Medical Nutrition Therapy following the Nutrition Care Process.
Qualifications
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Provides Medical Nutrition Therapy
- Performs nutrition screenings and assessments
- Develops and implements individualized nutritional care plans
- Evaluates and monitors the effectiveness of medical nutrition therapy interventions
- Assists in the development of nutrition care guidelines
- Participates in competency assessment process
- Serves as a clinical resource for nutrition information
- Attends and participates in nutrition support committee meetings and shared governance councils
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or equivalent
- Master Degree Preferred
- Completion of an ACEND-accredited internship practice program
- At least 3 years of hospital clinical nutrition experience
- Licensed Dietitian (LD)
- Advanced Dietitian Certification (RD-AP, CSP, CNSC, CDE, CSO, or equivalent)
