Advanced Packaging Quality and Reliability Engineer
About the role
As a Manufacturing Quality and Reliability Engineer in New Mexico, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Intel's products and processes during manufacturing ramps to high-volume production. You will specify inspection and testing mechanisms, conduct quality assessments and audits, evaluate materials and techniques used in production, and drive continuous process improvement initiatives to uphold quality standards. Your contributions will directly impact Intel's manufacturing efficiency, product performance, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Qualify manufacturing ramps to high-volume production while ensuring compliance with quality and reliability standards
- Specify inspection mechanisms and testing protocols to maintain product and process integrity
- Conduct quality assessments, audits, and risk evaluations to proactively address discrepancies
- Develop systems for early detection and containment of manufacturing excursions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement programs and foster a quality-focused culture
- Drive supplier audit processes and recommend improvements for supplier performance and product reliability
- Extract insights from structured and unstructured data using statistical techniques and machine learning to optimize production output
- Manage manufacturing-related issues reported by customers, providing engineering solutions to enhance customer experience
Qualifications
You must possess the minimum education requirements and minimum required qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes, project work, internships, and/or military experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a specialized field such as Engineering, Science, or a related discipline with 1+ year experience or Master's degree and 0+ years' experience
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, semiconductor fabrication, and quality assessment methodologies
- Familiarity with excursion management, reliability fundamentals, or problem-solving techniques
- Experience analyzing data using statistical tools and machine learning to inform decision-making
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field with 2 years of relevant experience, or a PhD with no years of required experience
- Ability to write automation scripts to improve efficiency of data extraction and analysis
- Proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and represent quality functions in engineering forums
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with a proactive approach to driving process optimization
- Demonstrated ability to manage change control processes and drive continuous improvement programs

Pay
Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $89,010.00 - 146,440.00 USD. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
This role requires an on-site presence on Shift 1 (United States of America).
