About the role
The Advanced Process Engineer (Mechanical Design Engineer) role at Meissner involves influencing processes, supporting innovation, and contributing to improvements that matter. This role is part of a collaborative, fast-moving environment dedicated to manufacturing lifesaving and life-enhancing drugs, therapies, and vaccines.
Responsibilities
- Analyze product and equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine designs that can be produced by existing manufacturing or processing facilities and methods.
- Determine the feasibility of designing new plant equipment or modifying existing facilities considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning, and other technical and economic factors.
- Confer with research personnel to clarify or resolve problems and develop design.
- Prepare or direct preparation of product or system layout and detailed drawings and schematics using 2-D and 3-D CAD software.
- Create project plans, including schedules for due dates, testing, analysis, and documentation.
- Maintain oversight of project status to ensure documentation is submitted according to schedule and delivery deadlines are met.
- Review and verify project documents for completeness, format, and compliance with Quality Assurance requirements.
- Assist maintenance and production in troubleshooting existing equipment problems and where applicable, modify equipment to improve both reliability and quality.
- Work independently and assist in identifying equipment needs and processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline such as Mechanical, Chemical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- A minimum of 4 years of working experience in a similar position is preferred.
- Proficient with MS Office software including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, and have a working knowledge of a wide variety of software packages, operating systems, and equipment.
- Strong 3-D and 2-D CAD skills.
- Strong English Language written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. government.

Pay
$106,400 - $137,800
