Overview/Impact
After-School SETSS – Senior High (Math)
Responsibilities
- Offer high-quality, individualized, and small-group instruction to students with disabilities, in accordance with their Individualized Education Service Programs (IESP).
- Ensure fulfillment of each student's weekly IESP mandates and maintain an intervention schedule coordinated with the school timetable.
- Develop and submit quarterly progress reports and maintain regular family communication with updates on progress and next steps.
- Create and implement engaging and effective lesson plans that meet the unique academic, social, and emotional needs of each individual student.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other school staff to build a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students.
- Track and evaluate student progress, providing regular updates to families and school-based teams.
- Attend IESP meetings as required, providing professional insights and recommendations to support students.
Qualifications
- Valid NYS Students with Disabilities (B-2, 1-6, 7-12, or All Grades) or NYS Literacy Specialist certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Must not have been employed by NYC DOE in the past 12 months.
- Experience teaching Advanced Mathematics.

- Compensation: $70 per hour (1099). Rate varies by group size and assignment. Individual IESP sessions typically begin at $70/hr.
