About the role
In this role, you will be our internal go-to expert for AI applications related to market research and consumer insights. You'll keep us steps ahead on how Generative AI, predictive analytics, synthetic populations, and advanced data tools are changing corporate planning. You won't just track these trends, you will build them into a practical, multi-year AI research roadmap. Because your work will directly impact our long-term trajectory, you will regularly present these insights and strategy updates to our senior leadership team and the Board of Directors.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Market Scanning & Industry Synthesis: Monitor advanced AI research tools, methodologies, and pilot applications across the industry. Track perspectives from leading market analysts (like Gartner) alongside technology pioneers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google DeepMind) and emerging digital health disruptors to benchmark Elevance Health’s capabilities.
- Competitive Intelligence: Analyze competitor investments, pilot programs, and market positioning. Pinpoint exactly where the healthcare and financial services sectors are successfully using AI to reduce customer effort, streamline onboarding, and improve the overall member experience.
- Roadmap Development & Orchestration: Author, own, and execute our comprehensive AI insights roadmap, translating complex technological shifts into practical business opportunities for Elevance Health.
- Executive & Board Reporting: Package complex market research methodologies and technical AI concepts into clear, high-impact presentations and strategic narratives tailored for senior executives and the Board.
- Team Architecture & Leadership: Design, hire, and manage a specialized insights team from the ground up to support these strategic initiatives.
- Develop and execute IT strategies at the business unit to execute across the enterprise that align with the business unit priorities and those of IT.
- Partner with senior planning leaders and executive leadership to create sound multi-year plan with clear planning assumptions and accurate financial insights for the IT function.
- Monitors and conducts research of related technology and business trends, using data and qualitative performance measures, to advise senior management relative to IT strategy.
- Synthesizes annual and multi-year plans to demonstrate tie-back to corporate and CIO-level strategies and goals.
- Conduct external research and engage partners across multiple departments within the broader enterprise to frame up potential strategic initiatives for investment or execution support.
- Use forecast models and scenario analysis to analyze performance and develop action plans to address emerging market and technological opportunities.
- Researches new ventures and prospective service expansion opportunities.
- Create executive reports that decipher complex technical issues.
Required Qualifications
- Requires a BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 10 years experience in Data Collection and Analysis, IT Consulting, IT Performance Management, Strategy or Financial Planning, Business Intelligence and Analytics, or Business Process Design; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Pay
For candidates working in person or virtually in the below location(s), the salary range for this specific position is $165,200 to $297,360.
