Advanced Human Services Worker-RA Instructor

Duties And Responsibilities

• Presents instructions in designated subject area within a regular classroom setting.
• Promotes a positive and desirable atmosphere within the classroom setting to ensure maximum student motivation and learning.
• Maintains contact with vocational counselors and instructors to individualize the Advanced Human Services Worker-RA curriculum according to students' chosen vocations.
• Counsels and motivates students regarding behavior, training, personal and/or study habits, and problems.
• Prepares reports such as student/staff hours, requisitions, and monthly student evaluations.
• Collaborates with the BCL-WBL Coordinator to implement the School to Career/Work-Based Learning Program and identify potential new WBL site partners.
• Makes monthly evaluations with Career Counselors, BCL-WBL Coordinator, and trainees.

Qualifications

• Must be certified, licensed, or accredited in the state where the center is located, or accredited by a professional trade organization (RO may waive if center is unable to hire certified or licensed instructors, but candidates must pursue certification).
• A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is preferred.
• Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.
