Advanced Heart Failure NP / PA

About the role

Ascension Seton is looking for a APRN or PA to join our Advanced Heart Failure/transplant/VAD team in an inpatient setting at Ascension Seton Medical Center. Join an established team of 11 combined physicians and APPs.

Rounding structure: weekend rotation requirement every 5-6 weeks. Practice setting: Inpatient. Employed position within a nonprofit health system.

Responsibilities

Lead Comprehensive Care Delivery: Direct the treatment and long-term management of diverse health conditions, ensuring every patient receives a personalized and effective care plan.

Empower Patients and Families: Translate medical jargon into actionable guidance, educating caregivers on treatment options and community resources to improve health literacy.

Requirements

• Licensure / Certification / Registration: Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred.
• Master's degree of Nursing required.
