About the role

The Future Technology team is looking for engineers with a passion to improve existing high-performance computing platforms and drive new hardware and development environments. This position involves working closely with scientific computing partners within the Department of Energy and Department of Defense, as well as interfacing with internal stakeholders to explore high-impact opportunities for developing and deploying future computing environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering, or science field and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; or
  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering, or science field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or
  • Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering, or science field; or
  • Currently an Advanced Reactor Training Engineer, Refueling Engineer, or Field (RPCO) Engineer at the company.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong capability and knowledge of computing hardware including CPU, GPU, networking, and storage infrastructure.
  • Proficiency with software development principles and environments.
  • Ability to interface with suppliers of scientific computing technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multiple disciplines of science and engineering.
  • Strong ability to distill and communicate complex technical topics to diverse audiences in written, verbal, and multimedia formats.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Intellectually curious, creative, and able to proactively engage stakeholders in future technologies.

Pay

Pay Range: $86,100.00 - $134,600.00 annually. Salary is based on candidate experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.

All candidates must be U.S. citizens. Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified matter. The company maintains a drug-free workplace and workforce; candidates must pass a drug test in compliance with company policy and 10 CFR 707.
