About the role

SEKISUI Aerospace is seeking an experienced Advanced Composites Manufacturing Lead for our 1st shift position at our Renton location. Responsibilities

  • Schedule and organize work departments daily
  • Provide direction and schedule production team members' daily activities
  • Frequently monitor and report on work progress of the team
  • Communicate with all departments, logistics, engineering, and production management
  • Promote flow and pull of products and information to internal and external customers
  • Identify, investigate, and address problems on the production floor
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members
  • Work with production and quality teams to prevent recurrence
  • Train and orient new employees on company standards and procedures
  • Implement 5S tools and reduce variation in the work environment
  • Lead continuous improvement activities
  • Ensure company goals and objectives are being met by each employee and provide constructive feedback

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Previous team leadership experience preferred
  • 2+ Years of demonstrated technical work proficiency in the department assigned to
  • Basic experience in an ERP/MRP or resource software

Working Conditions

  • Usually work indoors
  • Exposure to loud sounds and distracting noise levels
  • Exposure to hazardous equipment
  • Exposure to contaminants
  • Shared workspaces with other employees
  • Handling objects of up to 30 lbs.
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending
  • Standing and/or walking for 8 to 12 or more hours per day
