Advanced CNC Operator 2nd Shift - SRC Automotive

About the role

This is a 2nd shift position working 3:30pm - 2:00am Monday-Thursday with mandatory overtime as needed Fridays and Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine production duties by following written processes to operate machinery such as: mills, lathes, grinders, seat/guide/stud presses, induction heat treating equipment, drill presses, CMM, specialized gauging equipment for seat and guides and operate an assembly line to specific tolerances in required quantities.
• Performs equipment set up, make machine offsets, maintain tooling, and may perform minor operating modifications to equipment as needed.
• Absess adjustments needed to CNC equipment by reviewing CMM reports, make adjustments as necessary, check adjustments for accuracy.
• Solves basic production and machine operating problems, reports non-routine machinery failures to the Team Leader or Production Supervisor for assistance.
• Maintains good housekeeping in the department.
• Follows all safety rules regarding machine operation and proper guarding.
• Maintains a safe working environment by following company safety policies.
• Performs daily Total Preventive Maintenance on the equipment to maintain their quality.
• Assist in other production areas as needed.
• Affiliate in and support the principles of Open Book Management.

Requirements

• Two or more years of experience in a manufacturing paced assembly line setting preferred.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics addition, subtraction, and conversions.
• Ability to work back and forth between the metric and SAE standards.
• Ability to use hand, air, and power tools.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Requires effective relationship management skills with co-workers in a team environment.
• Basic computer literacy required. Ability to use computer systems to retrieve work process and Bills of Materials.
• Requires the desire to expand knowledge, skills, and abilities through training and education.
