About the role

Performs tasks associated with drug distribution (procurement, storage, control, preparation, compounding, dispensing) for inpatient and outpatient use. Ensures the safe and cost-effective use of medications by monitoring patient drug therapy and providing drug information. Advanced Clinical Pharmacists provide additional clinical pharmacy services beyond those of staff pharmacists, including decentralized staffing on patient care areas, patient rounding with medical staff, and other specialized roles and projects.

Requirements

  • Current Pharmacist License by the Colorado State Board of Pharmacy
  • BCPS certification or equivalent preferred
  • Bachelor of Science (Pharmacy) or Pharm. D. required
  • Hospital Pharmacy experience preferred

  • Ability to supervise and provide direction to support staff
  • Prioritization of workload
  • Proficiency with medication order entry systems, word processing, and spreadsheet programs

Additional Information

Occasionally may require driving to deliver pharmaceuticals to off-site HealthONE pharmacies such as free-standing emergency departments or surgery centers. Employee must have access to a personal vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and a current auto insurance policy.
