Advance Practice Nurse (Toms River)
About the role
The Nurse Practitioner will collaborate with Attending Physicians to assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings. They will work closely with a multidisciplinary team including cardiologists, nurses, and technicians to provide comprehensive patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat patients in DSP outpatient and inpatient practices.
- Evaluate and manage patients to ensure high-quality care and patient satisfaction.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Document patient interactions and progress in electronic health records.
- Maintain a flexible schedule to address patient and staff needs promptly.
Requirements
- At least 1 year experience in critical care or telemetry inpatient care.
- Preferred: Cardiology experience, either as an Advanced Practice Provider or in Nursing.
- Orientation will be customized based on experience.
Qualifications
- Masters degree or greater from an ANA accredited School of Nursing.
- Current New Jersey license as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse Certification.
- Current BLS, ACLS, CDS, and DEA licenses.
- Approval of credentials and clinical privileges per DSP procedure.
Skills
- Proficiency with electronic health records and database management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer proficient; well-organized, detail-oriented, and multitasking.
- Maintains a flexible schedule to ensure patient and staff needs are addressed.
- Maintains required continuing education credits and completes required nurse practitioner recertification.

Pay
The minimum starting salary for this position is $115k-$145K. The base rate is determined by several factors including years of relevant experience, education, credentials, and internal equity.
Schedule
This is a full-time position requiring 80 hours per pay period.
