Responsibilities

  • Assist in conducting and supporting all engineering and technical activities required during the material solution analysis, technology development, engineering and manufacturing development, production and deployment, and operation and support phases of the systems acquisition process.
  • Requirements definition and analysis, architecture design, implementation, integration, verification and validation, transition, decision analysis, requirements management, risk management, interface management, and configuration management.
  • Prepare all engineering and technical documentation including systems engineering plan.
  • Conduct systems review and analysis with written reporting, briefing, and artifact development as required for all technical specialty areas.
  • Plan and execute technical reviews, assessments, and technical interchange meetings including CDRs, manufacturing readiness assessments, and reliability technical interchange meetings.
  • Develop and utilize analytical and simulation analysis techniques to optimize system performance and/or system effectiveness.
  • Conduct simulation studies to evaluate all aspects of system development and acquisition.
  • Support the analysis, support, specialty, engineering, and/or functional capability of the task.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret security clearance.
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience and an undergraduate degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program (e.g., electrical, mechanical, aerospace).

Qualifications

  • Works on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently.
  • Oversees the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.
  • Experience and capability to support the assigned tasks and support personnel in the analysis, support, specialty, engineering, and/or functional capability of the task.

Skills

  • Engineering principles, criteria, and procedures.
  • USAF and FMS systems, subsystems, and equipment procurement activities.
  • Post award project/program management tasks.
  • Acquisition programs throughout their life cycles.
