Adult Volleyball Official

About the role

Foothills is seeking a Volleyball Official to officiate assigned adult volleyball games, ensure guidelines, and maintain a safe and fun environment.

Responsibilities

• Officiate assigned games with fairness and respect to all players and spectators.
• Ensure guidelines, rules and sportsmanship is enforced.
• Maintain a safe and fun environment for all involved.
• Keep score of all games.
• Report any gym problems to Supervisor.
• Report any problems with players, coaches or spectators to Supervisors in a timely manner.
• Ensure safety of all participants and spectators.

Requirements

• Knowledge of basic concepts and league rules and regulations for adult volleyball.
• Knowledge of effective safety standards and precautions related to specific recreational programs.
• Experience with league supervision and officiating required.
• Experience with supervising adults preferred.
• Knowledge of volleyball, including game skills, techniques and rules, as well as potential safety risks and safety hazards and appropriate safety precautions.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• High school diploma.
• Current certification in AED/CPR/First Aid or the ability to obtain such certification within sixty (60) days of employment.
• Effective communication skills: ability to communicate effectively verbally; establish and maintain working relationships with employees and the public; work independently; ability to effectively communicate and enforce league rules; effectively demonstrate and promote enthusiasm and sportsmanship in the sport.

Pay

$22.75 per hour.

Schedule

Sunday afternoons and Monday nights at the Ridge Recreation Center (6613 S. Ward St Littleton, CO).
