Adult Softball Scorekeeper

About the role

The City of Durango is seeking organized and reliable Adult Softball Scorekeepers to manage the scoreboard, track game details, and assist Site Supervisors in ensuring smooth and timely game operations.

Responsibilities

• Keep accurate score and track game time for adult softball games
• Arrive at least 30 minutes prior to game time to prepare for scheduled contests
• Aid in setting up equipment to ensure games start on time
• Record important game details on official score sheets
• Remain attentive throughout games to ensure accurate and consistent scorekeeping
• Assist the site supervisor with general game-day operations, including addressing participant or spectator concerns as needed
• Complete and submit incident or accident reports in a timely manner when necessary
• Support post-game clean-up, including returning equipment and managing lost and found items
• Accurately track and submit hours worked

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of softball rules and scoring
• Ability to communicate clearly and interact respectfully with players, colleagues, and community members
