Performance Standards: Treat Go above and beyond the standard of care Love my work and let it show Commit to personal and professional growth Work to hold myself and others accountable Continuously improving processes **Scope of Duties** The Sitter Agrees To Perform Duties As Outlined In The “Adult Sitter – Scope Of Duties (Safety & Companionship Only)” Document, Including: **1.**** Safety Responsibilities** Maintain a safe environment by observing and reporting any hazards or concerns. Monitor the client to prevent falls, wandering, or unsafe behavior. Ensure the client uses mobility aids (e.g., walker, cane) properly, if applicable. Notify appropriate personnel or family members in case of emergency or unusual behavior. Ensure call bell system is readily accessible at all times. **2.**** Companionship Responsibilities** Engage in friendly conversation and active listening. Participate in light recreational activities (e.g., card games, puzzles, watching TV). Encourage social interaction and emotional engagement. Provide a calming presence at all times and during periods of anxiety or confusion. Respect the client's preferences, privacy, and dignity at all times. **3.** **Limitations** No hands-on personal care (e.g., bathing, toileting, dressing). No medication administration or medical monitoring. No housekeeping or meal preparation unless explicitly agreed upon. No transportation or errands unless specified in the sitter agreement. No leaving patient alone at any time without prior staff handoff. No sleeping during assigned work hours. No complete noise cancelling devices are in use.
