About the role
The Adult Probation Officer is responsible for supervising individuals on probation to ensure they comply with court orders and community standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise individuals on probation
- Ensure compliance with court orders and community standards
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- Conduct regular check-ins with probationers
- Provide guidance and support to probationers
- Participate in case planning and development
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, social work, or related field
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience working with at-risk populations
- Ability to pass a background check
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Knowledge of state and local laws related to probation
- Proficiency in computer software for record keeping
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Skills
