Adult Family Home Overnight Caregiver

About the role

As a Caregiver in our Adult Family Home in Onalaska, you'll provide essential daily living support to adult male clients with autism in a comfortable group home setting. Each day involves engaging in activities that bring joy and enrichment, including cooking meals, tidying the home, community outings, and fostering creativity through crafts and games. You'll work alongside a collaborative team that values safety and compassion.

Requirements

• Passion for helping others, particularly individuals with autism
• Empathetic nature and willingness to learn (experience with autistic clients preferred but not required)
• Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration

Pay

Competitive hourly wage ranging from $18.50 to $19.50 per hour, with wage increases and shift differentials up to $4 per hour. Specific differentials include:

• $2/hour shift differential from Midnight to 7:00 AM (Tuesday–Friday overnight shift)
• $4/hour shift differential from Midnight to 7:00 AM (Friday–Sunday weekend overnight shift)
• $3/hour shift differential for all other scheduled weekend hours (9:00 PM to 9:00 AM Monday)
• $1/hour wage increase after 6 months and again after 12 months

Schedule

• Full Time, Overnight (No Weekends): Tuesday through Friday, Midnight – 9:00 AM
• Full Time, Weekends Only: Friday through Sunday, 9:00 PM – 9:00 AM
