About the team: The Neurodiagnostic team is comprised of EEG Technologists, EEG Technicians, and Neurodiagnostic Assistants. These individuals collaborate to set up patients with appropriate equipment, enabling the monitoring and recording of electrical activity in a patient’s brain. This data provides physicians with evidence of brain abnormalities. The team supports Butterworth, Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, Blodgett, 25 Michigan, and 35 Michigan.

About the role

Performs electroneurodiagnostic and physiologic procedures, analyzes data from these procedures, and provides technical documentation to aid in diagnosing brain disorders. Reviews, evaluates, maps, and classifies impressions of ictal, interictal, and paroxysmal events from EEG, physiologic, and video data. Writes technical reports detailing patient history, EEG patterns, seizure semiology, radiologic findings, physiologic findings, mapping of ictal and interictal abnormalities, and selection of representative EEG and physiologic samples. Creates permanent video and/or file clips of mapped interictal and ictal patterns for physician review and archiving.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Associate's Degree in a related field
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in a related field; graduate from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Program
• 5 years of relevant experience
• 5 years of neurodiagnostic experience (preferably in LTME/critical care EEG) after obtaining ABRET registration in Electroencephalographic Technologist (R.EEG.T)
• Required: CRT-Electroencephalographic Technologist, Registered (R.EEG.T) - ABRET American Board of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologist (upon hire)
• Required: CRT-Long Term Monitoring Technologist, Certified (CLTM) - ABRET American Board of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologist (within 1 year of hire)
• Required: AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire

Pay
