Adult Education- Plumbing Instructor

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of experience on the job, and an associate's degree, but the right candidate's experience level will be taken into consideration over education.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Instruct adults who are interested in learning basic plumbing skills necessary to make basic repairs or updates to their homes.
• Include opportunities for learners to determine what skills they would like to learn.
• Provide opportunities to learn all necessary requirements for the tasks (i.e. measuring/cutting, etc.), both through modeling and application.
• Share all important safety information including wearing eye protection and how to use the required tools/resources correctly on the first day, and throughout the sessions as reminders.
• Taught possible repair/remodel skills such as pipe cutting and soldering, sealing, fixture installations and other tasks at the instructor's discretion.
