Location: Dallas, TX 75256 – Part-time role supporting an adult with a developmental disorder in a pre-screened, secure family home.

About the role

Provide compassionate, professional care that ensures well-being and safety. Assist with daily activities, personal care, and therapeutic exercises while promoting independence, social skills, and community engagement. Maintain open communication with the family and healthcare providers, adapting flexibly to the individual’s changing needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one support tailored to an adult with developmental challenges
• Assist with personal care, daily routines, and household tasks
• Encourage participation in therapeutic programs and social/community activities
• Foster independence and life skills through patient, empathetic guidance
• Keep accurate records and communicate regularly with family and healthcare team

Requirements

• Proven experience supporting individuals with special needs or developmental disorders
• High level of patience, empathy, and professionalism
• Reliability and flexibility to adapt to evolving care plans
• Valid driver’s license preferred
• CPR and First Aid certification a plus
• Background check and verified college enrollment required
