ADS Trailer Technician

Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on trailers including brakes, lights, tires, and suspension systems
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform necessary repairs
- Conduct DOT inspections and ensure all trailers meet safety and compliance standards
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Perform welding and fabrication work as needed
- Replace and repair trailer doors, hinges, flooring, and other structural components
- Service and repair refrigeration units on temperature-controlled trailers (if applicable)
- Collaborate with transportation team to prioritize repair schedules and minimize downtime
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years of experience in trailer maintenance and repair preferred
- Strong knowledge of air brake systems, electrical systems, and trailer components
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment
- Welding and fabrication skills preferred
- Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred but not required
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with diesel engine diagnostics and repair
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Experience with computerized diagnostic equipment
- Understanding of preventive maintenance schedules and procedures
