About the role
Visiting with a resident one to one. This may include games, reminiscing, walks, crafts, reading. Being able to play cards games such as cribbage, bridge etc an asset.
Responsibilities
- Visit with a resident one-on-one
- Engage in activities including games, reminiscing, walks, crafts, and reading
Requirements
- Able to carry on a conversation
- Ability to motivate and encourage
- Must be self-motivated
- Must be at least 16 to apply
- Preferred volunteer will reside within the St. James Assiniboia region or Charleswood
Skills
- Time Management
- Improved interpersonal skills
- Basic documentation
- Card games such as cribbage, bridge (asset)
Schedule
Daytime, Evening, Weekend, Flexible Hours. Requires a minimum of 20 minutes per resident visited.
