Adobe Commerce Cloud (Magento) Developer

Responsibilities

• Develop new features and enhancements for two Adobe Commerce production websites.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and support both Adobe Commerce sites.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues quickly while minimizing business impact.
• Design and implement custom Adobe Commerce modules and integrations.
• Customize frontend functionality using modern Adobe Commerce best practices.
• Develop and maintain integrations with third-party systems such as ERP, payment gateways, shipping providers, tax engines, and marketing platforms.
• Optimize website performance, scalability, and security.
• Create technical documentation for custom development and system architecture.
• Coordinate deployments with our project office and support release management processes.
• Stay current with Adobe Commerce updates, security patches, and industry best practices.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional Adobe Commerce development experience.
• Strong experience with: PHP 8+, Adobe Commerce / Magento 2 architecture, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, XML.
• Experience developing custom modules, plugins, observers, and API integrations.
• Experience working with Git source control.
• Experience with REST APIs.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a production environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Adobe Commerce Developer certification.
• Experience with: Composer, Varnish, Linux, CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience integrating ERP systems.
• Familiarity with payment gateways such as Braintree, or PayPal.
• Experience with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
• Understanding of eCommerce SEO and performance optimization.
• Experience with Hyvä theme is a plus.
• Experience with AI coding tools to assist with development.
