Ancora Education – Admissions Representative (Jacksonville, NC)

About the role

The Admissions Representative provides customer service and information to prospective students interested in career education and training. This position conducts outbound and inbound communications, hosts campus tours, facilitates enrollments, and supports students throughout their educational experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound and inbound telephone calls, texts, and emails; respond promptly to all inquiries.
  • Share information with prospective students within Ancora Education’s Code of Conduct and accreditation guidelines.
  • Schedule campus visits, conduct tours, and facilitate registrations.
  • Follow up with new students to ensure a positive transition into active student status.
  • Contribute to team initiatives and collaborate with diverse groups of employees and customers.

Requirements

  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver consistent energy and enthusiasm.
  • Thrives in an observation and coaching environment.
  • Proactive problem-solving and ability to handle frequent interruptions.
  • Competent in priority setting and working independently.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and industry-related software.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • 2 years’ experience in sales and/or customer service (required).
  • Associate’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution (preferred).
  • Experience in a high-volume customer service setting (preferred).
  • Experience with CampusVue and/or Velocify software (preferred).

Physical Demands

  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Work Environment

  • Not typically exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
  • Moderate noise level in the work environment.
