About the role

Tidewater Tech is seeking an Admissions Representative to join our team. This role involves managing a high volume of prospective student inquiries, guiding them through the admissions process, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a high volume of prospective student inquiries through phone, email, and in-person or virtual meetings — responding with speed and professionalism
  • Assess each prospective student’s goals, background, and eligibility to identify the right program fit
  • Guide students through every stage of the admissions process: inquiry, appointment setting, interview, application, documentation, and enrollment
  • Consistently meet and exceed enrollment KPIs, including outreach volume, contact-to-appointment conversion rates, application completion rates, and closing ratios
  • Proactively follow up with prospective students to keep momentum and resolve barriers to enrollment
  • Maintain accurate records of student application status and pipeline activity in the CRM
  • Represent Tidewater Tech at open houses, career fairs, and community recruitment events

  • Strong track record in sales, admissions, or customer service with demonstrated results against performance metrics
  • Clear and authentic communication with a wide range of people
  • Organized, meets deadlines, and manages multiple priorities without dropping the ball

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate’s degree or higher preferred
  • Proven experience in sales or customer service with a record of meeting or exceeding KPIs such as conversion rates, outreach goals, and closing ratios
  • One or more years of admissions experience in a proprietary (for-profit) post-secondary educational setting preferred

Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse audiences
  • Excellent time management and the ability to multitask effectively in a high-volume environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; comfortable learning new CRM and enrollment management systems
