Admissions Representative
About the role
The Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM), established in 1969, is a premier institution dedicated to advancing the field of aviation maintenance through exceptional education and training. AIM is a cornerstone in the aviation industry, accounting for 20% of all students attending FAA-certified Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) schools across the country. Each year, AIM proudly contributes to the graduation of nearly one in four certified aircraft technicians in America.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a high volume of prospective student inquiries through phone, email, and in-person or virtual meetings — responding with speed and professionalism
- Assess each prospective student’s goals, background, and eligibility to identify the right program fit
- Guide students through every stage of the admissions process: inquiry, appointment setting, interview, application, documentation, and enrollment
- Consistently meet and exceed enrollment KPIs, including outreach volume, contact-to-appointment conversion rates, application completion rates, and closing ratios
- Proactively follow up with prospective students to keep momentum and resolve barriers to enrollment
- Maintain accurate records of student application status and pipeline activity in the CRM
- Represent AIM at open houses, career fairs, and community recruitment events
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Associate’s degree or higher preferred
- Experience: Proven experience in sales or customer service with a record of meeting or exceeding KPIs such as conversion rates, outreach goals, and closing ratios. One or more years of admissions experience in a proprietary (for-profit) post-secondary educational setting preferred
Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse audiences
- Excellent time management and the ability to multitask effectively in a high-volume environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; comfortable learning new CRM and enrollment management systems
- Flexible availability for occasional evenings and one Saturday per month

Compensation
Up to $29.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
Location & Schedule
Location: 7251 W McCarty St, Indianapolis, IN 46241 (near Indianapolis International Airport)
Schedule: Monday–Thursday: Two days from 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM and two days from 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Saturday: One Saturday per month, or as organizational needs require
