ADMISSIONS REP/REGISTRAR - DESERT VIEW HOSPITAL (PART-TIME)

Desert View Hospital is a 25-bed, acute care hospital set in a rural community.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Adhere to Patient Centered Care concepts as the foundation for all nursing care.
• Demonstrate Service Excellence standards at all times.
• Responsible for processing incoming patients, including recording required admission information.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Two years of experience in a hospital admitting office or physician office (preferred).
• Two years of experience verifying healthcare insurance and securing pre-authorizations for medical procedures.
• Knowledgeable in coordination of benefits to ensure seamless billing and reimbursement.
• Computer proficiency, including word processing and patient accounting systems.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide service appropriate to the age of the patient.
• Some positions may require accurate interpretation and translation in a bilingual targeted language.
