Admissions Rep Registrar

About the Role

We are seeking a professional Registrar for our ambulatory surgery center. You will ensure patients are admitted efficiently, courteously, and in a timely manner while providing accurate demographic and insurance information to support coding, billing, and claims submission.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient admissions, including reviewing information, completing forms, and copying insurance cards and photo identification.
• Collect and document co-payments and deductibles at the time of service, issuing payment receipts.
• Perform routine clerical and administrative functions.
• Prepare, collect, and deliver patient charts, and pull previous medical records.
• Perform insurance verification.
• Manage the reception area and greet patients and family members professionally.

Requirements

• Minimum one year of experience in a medical office setting (e.g., ambulatory surgery center, hospital, or doctor’s office).
• BLS certification may be required per facility standards.

About the Facility

Doctors Same Day Surgery Center is an HCA Healthcare premier total joint and spine center located in Sarasota, Florida, serving Sarasota County and surrounding communities. The AAAHC-accredited center performs over 400 cases monthly, offering services in cosmetic, GYN, ophthalmology, orthopedics, ENT, pediatric, podiatry, urology, and infertility procedures. The facility is five miles from the Gulf of Mexico beaches and is part of the HCA Healthcare Ambulatory Surgery Division.
