Responsibilities
- Screen and assess referrals for admission to the Respite Program
- Coordinate admissions with appropriate administrative and clinical staff
- Greet patients, conduct brief histories and physical assessments, and document encounters in the medical record
- Enter patient information into the computer system
- Provide patient orientation and transportation
- Solve problems with the Admissions RN manager regarding patients who do not meet admission criteria
Qualifications
- Commonwealth of Massachusetts RN license, with minimum of 3-5 years nursing experience preferred
- Previous hospital experience preferred
- CPR Certification required
- Proficiency in Spanish language
- Demonstrated interest in working with an underserved population
- Effective communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and ability to interact with staff and patients
