Responsibilities

  • Cook up the admissions process from referral to admission
  • Screen prospective residents to ensure they fit our program
  • Document admissions, financial forms, and paperwork
  • Verify insurance and benefits
  • Keep track of bed availability and admission activity
  • Work with nursing leadership, case managers, therapy, and others to make admissions smooth
  • Arrange transportation and support services for new residents
  • Inform residents, families, and referral sources about our services
  • Attend daily stand-ups and census development meetings
  • Host outreach events, facility tours, and community engagements
  • Protect resident privacy and follow HIPAA regulations
  • Help meet census goals with excellent customer service and networking
  • Handle additional projects as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Marketing, Nursing, or related field preferred
  • Two years of admissions, healthcare marketing, case management, or related experience preferred
  • Skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or post-acute care experience preferred
  • Current RN or LPN license
  • CPR certified
  • Experience with insurance verification and admission processes preferred
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care plans preferred

  • Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and referral partners
