Admissions Mental Health Technician (FT) Nights

About the role

Central Florida Behavioral Hospital is a 174‑bed, private psychiatric center located in Orlando, FL. The hospital provides 24‑hour emergency services and offers a full continuum of care including inpatient treatment for children, adolescents, and adults; partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and ECT services for adults. Its treatment philosophy is based on a team approach that treats patients with dignity and respect while delivering high‑quality care. The Mental Health Tech provides direct care to children, adolescents, and adult patients with psychiatric disorders to ensure the safety and well‑being of patients in the Admissions/Assessment area.

Responsibilities

• Patient Observation and Monitoring
• Facilitating Therapeutic Groups
• Conducting Searches and Securing Contraband
• Assisting with Daily Living Skills
• Patient Behavior and Milieu Management
• Documentation in the Patient Record

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a Level 2 Background Investigation.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Two years experience working in a psychiatric setting.
• CPR (may be acquired after hire).
• Must be available to attend the full hospital and departmental orientations: Week 1: M‑F 8 AM‑5 PM; Week 2: M & Tu 9 AM‑5 PM.
