Schedule
- Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Tuesday through Thursday: 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Training schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM for a few weeks
Responsibilities
- Coordinate admission into treatment program by conducting interviews of clients or their representatives to obtain relevant information, completing comprehensive assessments, and preparing initial treatment plans
- Determine eligibility for insurance coverage or medical assistance
- Complete admission forms and obtain necessary consent signatures
- Respond to inquiries regarding treatment programs and available services
- In residential centers, complete census counts and maintain waiting lists
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and life experience; minimum of 100 hours of documented clinical training in counseling theory and practice preferred
- Current certification as a substance abuse counselor (CADC) or higher licensure (LPC, LSW) in the state of hire preferred
- Minimum 2 years of previous experience in substance abuse or mental health counseling preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to speak with others to exchange information, conduct assessments, and provide counseling
- Ability to record and proofread information on forms and in the electronic health record
- Ability to respond to telephones and pages and hear speech
- Ability to use a keyboard and display to receive, retrieve, and/or audit information and enter data into the electronic health record on a regular basis
Pay
Compensation range is between $19.23 - $24.47 per hour, based on experience and credentials. Gateway Foundation conducts annual reviews including merit increases.
