About the role
The Admissions Counselor at High Point University serves as an integral member of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions team, responsible for managing and strategically developing an assigned geographic territory to support the University’s enrollment goals. This position plays a key role in identifying, recruiting, admitting, and enrolling academically qualified students who align with the mission and values of High Point University.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute a comprehensive recruitment plan
- Actively represent the University at on- and off-campus events, high schools, college fairs, and other outreach initiatives
- Maintain frequent and meaningful contact with prospective students, parents, and school counselors
- Demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and a deep understanding of students’ varied needs throughout the admissions process
- Provide exceptional service and guidance to prospective students and their families
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- A deep understanding of students' varied needs throughout the admissions process
- Commitment to providing exceptional service and guidance to prospective students and their families
Qualifications
- Strong interest in higher education and student affairs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in higher education recruitment and counseling is preferred but not required

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build relationships with students, parents, and school counselors
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

Pay
- $40,000 - $45,000 annually

- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
