Admissions Coordinator
About the role
The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for managing the initial impression of the school, and keeping the front area organized, clean, and welcoming. This position provides administrative and customer service support for the Admissions department.
Responsibilities
- Primary: functions as Director of First Impressions for the campus, including but not limited to:
- Retrieves messages from voice mail and forwards to appropriate personnel
- Answers incoming telephone calls within 3 rings, determines purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department
- Takes and delivers messages or transfers calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel are not available
- Welcome on-site visitors, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel
- Receives, sorts, and routes mail
- Performs accurate data entry (new student information)
- Manage student data (CVUE. LMS) to ensure the school’s requirements are met
- Ensures that accurate, timely and thorough student records are created in compliance with company standards during the Admissions Process and are forwarded to the appropriate departments
- Develop/manage/maintain reports for the Admissions department
- Communicate with the corporate office for approval/denial of High school diplomas as needed
- Work flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays
- Travel to other sites as needed
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required
Requirements at least 1-2 years of demonstrated administrative experience
Qualifications
Must be detail oriented and professional
Ability to apply analysis in order to generate and implement solutions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
