About the role
The Administrator, Memory Care is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the Memory Care program to ensure quality care to our residents. The Administrator, Memory Care reports to the Executive Director.
Responsibilities
- Direct resident well-being according to State regulations to ensure appropriate and acceptable standards of care and adequate staffing
- Maintain a working knowledge of state regulations, policies, and procedures, dictated for compliance
- Perform marketing and sales activities including public relations efforts, prospective resident follow-up, and direct sales monitoring to ensure positive occupancy percentages
- Operate within budgetary parameters
- Evaluate the physical, emotional and/or social needs of residents
- Maintain or improve independence through directing, educating, and orienting residents in the use of appropriate adaptive equipment or techniques
- Maintain appropriate and complete reports, records, physician’s orders, care plans, and progress notes; ensure confidentiality of resident information
- Maintain communication with physician, families, and appropriate staff regarding resident status
- Assist residents and families by offering support in dealing emotionally with the aging process and illness
Requirements
- Minimum of high school diploma; Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Memory Care Administrator Certification/License a plus
- At least 5 years of experience in senior living or multifamily residential with three years’ experience in a leadership role
- Must comply with all State and Federal mandated training and/or certification programs for the position of Executive Director
- Current state-specific driver’s license and appropriate driving record
