Learn under a seasoned, experienced Administrator to develop the skills and knowledge needed for overall facility operations, providing leadership in quality patient care in accordance with all laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. Key areas include financial operations, human resources, customer service, business development, and clinical operations.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold policies pertaining to patient care, caregiving, support staff, financial control, public relations, and maintenance of physical plant through consultation with the facility management team
  • Learn budget management to meet facility needs and division goals in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards
  • Ensure facility compliance with all Federal and State regulations
  • Maintain a clean and safe facility for the comfort, convenience, and safety of patients, families, and staff
  • Serve as an effective representative for the company to be viewed as the provider of choice in the community
  • Ensure census goals are met
  • Prepare and operate within an annual budget (approved by RVP and DVP)
  • Effectively supervise the team
  • Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
  • Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
  • Read, interpret, and make independent decisions based on financial records and reports
  • Implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
  • Perform proficiently in all competency areas including patient rights, safety, and sanitation
  • Display integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care’s Code of Conduct

Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Three (3) or more years' successful post-acute care experience preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret financial records and reports
  • Knowledgeable of practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post-acute care facility
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
  • Proficient in patient rights, safety, and sanitation
  • Adhere to Life Care’s Code of Conduct and complete mandatory compliance training

Essential Functions

  • Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
  • Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
