About the role
Avalon Care Center Federal Way is hiring for an Administrator in Training (AIT). Join our team to gain hands-on leadership experience in skilled nursing and grow your health care career. Skilled nursing experience and leadership experience are a plus. The position offers a salary range of $65,000 – $75,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the facility
- Learn and understand state and federal regulations related to skilled nursing facilities
- Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions
- Assist with the hiring and training of new staff members
- Assist with the management of resident care and services
- Assist with the management of the facility's budget and financial operations
- Assist with the management of the facility's physical plant and equipment
- Assist with the management of the facility's marketing and public relations efforts
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field
- Experience working in a skilled nursing facility preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to learn and understand state and federal regulations related to skilled nursing facilities
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed
