About the Role

Microchip Technology Inc. offers a unique opportunity to join a 17,000-member team working on technology that powers the world. This role involves shipping and receiving with a focus on material handling, supporting both domestic and international shipments. You will ensure the safe, accurate, and timely preparation, movement, and dispatch of materials and finished goods while contributing to daily warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in daily warehouse activities, including shipments to customers, vendors, and other Microchip sites (domestic and international).
  • Learn and use ERP systems such as BaaN, AX2012, and the SA tool.
  • File shipments over $2,500 in value using the Ace government system.
  • Prepare shipping documents for all outbound shipments.
  • Create airway bills in FedEx, UPS, and DHL systems.
  • Work with third-party carriers (e.g., KWE, Morrison).
  • Understand invoices, HTS/ECCN numbers, and EEI filing requirements.
  • Operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment.
  • Maintain regular attendance and work overtime when required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 0–2 years of strong shipping and logistics experience.
  • Experience with domestic and international shipping.
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
  • Dangerous goods certification (preferred).
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Customer service-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction.
  • Ability to lift, move, sort, and store objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Operate warehouse equipment and computer terminals.
  • Observe health and safety regulations.

Physical Demands

  • Work is performed while standing, sitting, and/or walking.
  • Requires effective communication using speech, vision, and hearing.
  • Requires use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Requires bending, squatting, climbing, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling medium weights (up to 50 pounds).
  • Work schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 hours/day (50% standing, 25% walking, 25% sitting).
  • Work environment: 90% inside, 10% outside.

Pay

The hourly pay range for this position is $19.00–$22.00, dependent on job location, skills, and experience.
