Responsibilities
- Ensure all environments are managed and maintained to meet service level agreements.
- Proactive monitoring and maintenance of Linux and/or Windows system environments.
- Provide responsive technical assistance and document configuration to support processes.
- Work with additional functional teams to ensure optimal operations and uptime of application environments.
- Support change control and testing processes for modifications to application systems.
- Develop strong working relationships with third party vendors.
- Analyze system for overall performance and give recommendations for improvements.
- Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks.
- Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.
- Quick, Efficient, and effective issue resolution with proactive communication to all stakeholders.
- Recommend, schedule, and perform improvements, patches, and reconfigurations.
- Develop, document, and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for system administration and appropriate use.
- Provide backup administration support to other teammates.
- Provide after-hours support.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in the field of Computer Science or equivalent work experience required.
- Hands-on enterprise application and hardware troubleshooting experience.
- Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information.
- Working technical knowledge of network, PC and platform operating systems including Windows, Unix, and RedHat Linux.
- Working knowledge of Linux Shell Scripting, Windows PowerShell Scripting, Oracle, and Microsoft database concepts.
- Working knowledge of Release Automation processes.
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws; including SSAE16, HIPPA, and URAC.
- The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees.
